Gwangju international school

In Korea, international schools offer an American-style education from kindergarten to high school (12th grade). Usually, children go to elementary school at age 7 and after 6 years, they finish. They go to middle school for 3 years. After that, they go to high school for 3 years. Accordingly, 7th grade in an international school is the 1st grade in a Korean middle school and 12th grade is the equivalent to 3rd grade in Korean high schools. After finishing high school, students take an entrance exam, which is like the American SAT, to go to university. Some students are employed right after graduating from vocational high school or others take the university entrance exam.
