The 3rd Gwangju Jeong Yul-seong International Music Festival
Jeong Yul-seong was one of the most prominent anti-Japanese movement activists of the 20th century produced by Gwangju and one of East Asia's best musicians produced by Korea. Now is the time when there is a need for an event to help people understand different cultures around the world and to promote mutual harmony and exchanges amid a life of diversity in this modern society. At this important juncture, a music festival seeking co-existence and harmony will therefore be held in Gwangju in the name of Jeong Yul-seong, one of the most eminent East Asia's musicians through the world's universal language of music. The 3rd Gwangju Jeong Yul-seong International Music Festival is to highlight the life of Jeong Yul-seong as an anti-Japanese fighter through music composition and deliver a message of peace and harmony in Northeast Asia.
